Privacy policy

This policy applies to the Marist Sports Network website, iOS app, and the production tools and services connected to them (together, the “Service”). It covers public video viewing as well as signed-in staff and member workflows.

• Account information: email address, display name, profile image, sign-in provider, and assigned MSN roles. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider; MSN does not store your password in readable form.
• Production and collaboration content:assignments, content schedules and publication dates, rundowns, shot sheets, content ideas, notes, votes, uploaded highlight videos, submission messages, review feedback, timestamped comments, frame drawings, text overlays, and other information you submit while working with MSN. Rundown collaboration also records change history and may show other authorized users that you are viewing or editing a specific cell.
• Radio content and operations: uploaded audio and temporary source video, titles and other media metadata, playlists, broadcast schedules, archived airchecks, operator commands, incident notes, and technical status records used to run MSN Radio. Source video can be processed automatically to extract an audio-only copy. Public listeners receive the station stream and now-playing information; authorized staff can manage the station and its archives.
• Broadcast graphics: approved team-brand assets, logos, player images, project settings, preview proxies, render requests, technical validation results, completed private graphics, and approval history. Final rendering runs asynchronously on MSN’s protected Oracle worker and outputs are delivered through short-lived signed links.
• Notifications and device information:notification preferences, push-notification device token, platform, device name, app version, and the last time the device registered with the Service.
• Technical information: security and diagnostic records that may include IP address, browser or device type, request time, error details, upload progress, and a random upload-recovery identifier. The website stores an essential sign-in session and recoverable in-progress drafts in your browser.
• Playback preferences: the website may remember an episode’s resume position in local browser storage. That resume position stays on that browser unless you clear it.

• Authenticate accounts and apply member, class, social, radio-operator, producer, staff, and admin permissions.
• Operate assignments, production planning, media publishing, and collaboration tools.
• Operate MSN Radio, including continuous playback, scheduled programming, live-event transitions, audio extraction from staff-uploaded video, operator safeguards, archives, and service-health alerts.
• Create, validate, revise, approve, and privately distribute broadcast graphics while preserving the inputs and template version needed to reproduce institutional work.
• Route private highlight submissions to authorized MSN staff for versioned review, frame-specific feedback, approval, and resubmission.
• Send requested operational notifications, including assignment and production updates.
• Keep the Service secure, reliable, and compatible with supported devices.
• Respond to support, privacy, and account requests and comply with legal obligations.

MSN does not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

We share information only as needed to operate the Service, protect users, or comply with law. Service providers may process information on our behalf, including:

• Lovable and Supabase for hosting, database, storage, and authentication services.
• Google when you choose Google sign-in.
• Apple for iOS distribution, push-notification delivery, and—when you choose Sign in with Apple—authentication. Apple may provide a private relay address when you choose to hide your email.
• Vercel for the server component that securely delivers push notifications.
• YouTube or another video host when you play embedded or externally hosted media. Those providers may process information under their own privacy policies.
• Radio streaming, storage, and archive providers when connected by MSN administrators. This policy will identify material new providers before those integrations are enabled.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for server-side radio processing and deterministic graphics rendering. Browser and mobile clients never receive the server-only worker credentials.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to meet a legal requirement, enforce our rules, or protect the rights and safety of MSN, its users, or others.

We retain personal information while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service. You can permanently delete your account directly in the iOS app: open More, choose Delete account, and confirm. Authorized MSN staff can also delete an account through the staff account-management tools when access should be removed or a verified deletion request is being handled.

Account deletion removes your sign-in, profile, roles, notification preferences and history, registered devices, personal drafts, incomplete uploads, and personal idea activity. Approved media and shared production records that form part of MSN’s institutional work may remain, but your user identity is removed from those records. When a resubmission is approved, prior uploaded video versions are scheduled for secure deletion and only the approved latest version is retained. Abandoned upload sessions are also removed automatically. Limited backups, security logs, or records required by law may remain for a reasonable period before deletion.

Shared radio schedules, approved station audio, airchecks, incident records, and audit history may remain as institutional production records. When practical, the deleted user’s identity is removed while operational records needed for station continuity and accountability are retained. Video uploaded only for radio audio extraction is temporary: it is queued for deletion after successful conversion or cancellation, abandoned uploads expire automatically, and failed source files are retained for up to seven days for troubleshooting before cleanup.

Approved broadcast graphics and their reproducibility records may remain as institutional production records. Abandoned temporary render frames and expired test outputs are cleaned up automatically; approved graphics are not automatically deleted.

• Turn individual notification categories on or off in the app’s Notification Settings.
• Disable all MSN notifications in iOS Settings at any time.
• Delete your account from inside the iOS app without contacting support.
• Clear site data in your browser to remove the local session and playback positions.
• Ask us to access, correct, or delete eligible personal information.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including authenticated access, role-based permissions, encrypted connections, and database access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please report suspected misuse promptly.

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.

We may update this policy as the Service changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when we publish a new version. Material changes may also be announced in the app or on the website when appropriate.
